Weekly Wrap Up (100) – 100th Edition!

FacebookTweetPinEmailShares0

Weekly Wrap Up is a weekly post in whichย I recap posts, showcase new books and highlight what’s to come! Also, I share a pic of the week and share discussion posts that caught my eye*. Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s reviews &ย The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted byย Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Hey Hey! Let’s get right to it, shall we?

10 Things that Summarize my Week

  1. This is labelled the 100th edition of The Weekly Wrap Up. Technically, it would be a lot more if I stuck to it to begin with. Either way. *throws confetti*
  2. I was out due to a cluster headache that has lasted about 7 days now. FUN.TIMES.
  3. Got all the details for the kiddo’s Disney Trip. *weeps with envy*
  4. It went from almost 70 degrees to snowing the next day.
  5. I finished reading ZERO books
  6. Talked to a friend I was super close with when I lived in Texas. I miss her!
  7. I got 5 boxes of girl scout cookies. I ate one ALL MY MYSELF.
  8. I also gained 5 pounds
  9. The kiddo’s motto, “Grades before Girls” was said at least 3 times this week
  10. Job searching.

Hello there! ๐Ÿ‘‹ Fancy an update? . Iโ€™ve been a Hello there! ๐Ÿ‘‹ Fancy an update?
.
Iโ€™ve been a bit absent from Instagram for the past few weeks. There are a few reasons for this, and I wanted to update you and share them.

1) Imposter Syndrome โ€” Iโ€™ve been dealing with feeling inadequate in all aspects of life & blogging. Itโ€™s a personal thing Iโ€™m working on, but the struggle is REAL.

2) Time โ€” Working, blogging, self care, family... and trying to grow this page was becoming too much and I needed some time to regroup.

3) Reflectionโ€” again, Iโ€™ve been trying to do too much at once, and Iโ€™m not happy with the direction I was taking things. Iโ€™ve been using this time to focus on my direction and what I plan to do.

Building up our brand and profiles is hard work - Iโ€™ve always know this. But working through personal struggles while trying to find my purpose and direction has been hard, too.

Have I figured it all out? Not even a little bit. But I have a plan, a path, and a goal.

If youโ€™re struggling, know youโ€™re not alone! And Iโ€™m here to chat, too!

It was a pretty boring weekend here - with the anticipation of Tropical Storm Isaias, it was better to stay indoors. Luckily, we didnโ€™t get anything but a bit of rain.

I wish you luck on your job search!! I hope the one you find has a good schedule so you can be with your family as well ๐Ÿ™‚
I loved Symptoms of Being Human. It opened my eyes a lot. It was also emotional at times with some bullying that happened but I really hope you listen to it and enjoy it. It usually takes me more than a week to finish an audio and it only took me like 3 days to finish this one because I was hooked. The narrator’s voice fits the MC so it was a great audio experience. Can’t wait to read your thoughts on it!

Mmm. Girl scout cookies. Thank Jesus mine are gone. I made my Dad eat the trefoils I had left. I pretty much demo’d the Thin Mints. (Mom had a couple but it was ALL me) Grades Before Girls. Bahaha, I love it. That’s so funny.

Job hunting. BOO. I need to motivate myself to start looking again. I got so burnt out last summer. I need to get back to it.

Why is The Immortal Rules taking awhile? Because of your headache? Or is it not gripping you?

Map of Fates has a gorgeous cover.

As for how many books I’ve read so far, I’ve read 36 total.

I haven’t been hard core searching but still looking. You know what’s happening. And it wasn’t that it wasn’t gripping me per se, but I was just reading it slow. Plus my headache, yeah

Nereyda said she liked Map of Fates and I really liked the first book, but I think I’m waiting until the last one comes out to read it.

Good luck on the job search. I’m kind of casually looking myself. Sorry about that nasty headache. You did crack me up about the cookies. I got caught coming out of a store and grab several boxes myself. I leave them in the kitchen cupboard so I have to go in there to get some. Seems to keep me from eating a whole box at once. LOL

Girl Scout cookies are pure awesome-eating a whole box by yourself is entirely reasonable ๐Ÿ™‚ As for how many books I’ve read this year-technically I’m not tracking my stats, but of course I do the mental math as I read, out of habit lol. So far this year I’ve read 21 and I should be finishing one tonight yet.
