The Readers Confession Tag

FacebookTweetPinEmailShares0

Readersv2

There are SO many tags floating around lately (yes I will be doing more!) and when I saw this one @ In a Bookish World I figured it would be the best place to start!

1. Have you ever damaged your own book?

Erhm, yes. Sometimes it’s not intentional, like dropping it in a pool or bathtub. Or say, leaving evidence of my lunch or something. Sometimes… it is.

2. Have you ever damaged a borrowed book?

No? I mean, sometimes I dog-ear pages (I KNOW, it’s bad. I mean, I MAKE BOOKMARKS!) and maybe spilling coffee on it? But I can’t think of anything else. Oh wait, my dog ate a library book once!

3. How long does it take you to read a book?

That depends on a few things. Sometimes a few hours to a week. I usually read 2-4 books at a time, and I will read those throughout the week. If can sit down and read uninterrupted, only a few hours and if a book doesn’t grab my attention within a week I DNF.

4. Books that you haven’t finished?

Crimson Bound, Blue Screen, and Silver in the Blood OR, you can visit my DNF Goodreads shelf for more!

5. Hyped/popular books that you don’t like?

Ah, here we go. (just 3)

The Fault in our Stars. Okay, so I liked this one but it was just OKAY.

Never Never. Yeah, I really disliked this.

The Start of Me and You. I just don’t connect to her writing. And this book at least, was too fluffy for me.

6. Is there a book that you wouldn’t tell anyone you were reading?

Never! Although, my husband might question me if I started reading Fifty Shades since I have sworn it off for years now.

7. How many books do you own?

OY. Around 500? Not including eBooks. I have a hoarding problem.

8. Are you a fast reader or a slow reader?

Fast! I can finish a book within hours.

9. Do you like to buddy read?

Yes and no. I like to, simply because discussing the book whilst reading is fun and I love it! However, since I read fast, it’s hard for me to stop at our stopping point, or put the book down and allow others to catch up, ya know?

10. Do you read better in your head or out loud?

LOL in my head. I am pretty bad at pronouncing names/things. Like, I can say it in my head but when it comes to actually verbalizing it? NOPE. So I hate reading out loud. (this is also why I don’t vlog)

11. If you were only allowed to own one book, what would it be and why?

Well, that’s just rude. One book? Can I cheat and say one device? No? Fine.

Probably Sanctum by Sarah Fine. Amazing characters, world building, and a romance oh so swoony! It’s my favorite book ever, and I have pushed it on people since… 2013.

Thanks for reading! If you want to do the tag – go for it! Also, send me a note so I can read it, too!

Fun tag! I kind of get food on my books a lot. I can’t help it because I am always eating! I have no idea how to pick just one book – that is way too hard. Great answers 🙂

Me too! Or coffee. I spill coffee (on something) every day. It’s actually kind of funny!

Sanctum is my go to book for everything. I love it so much

This is a fun tag! It’s been a long time since I’ve done one of these, but they’re always fun to read. I haven’t read Sanctum – I’ll have to check that out!

Interesting post. 500 paperbacks is quite a lot!
I’m a slow reader, especially when reading in another language. I have to turn some pages back and forth multiple times before I can really move on.
And I used to dog ear while I read too. Now I try to remember the page, or the approximate place on the book. Bookmarks are just not my thing.
