Weekly Wrap Up is a weekly post in whichΒ I recap posts, showcase new books and highlight what’s to come! Also, I share a pic of the week and share discussion posts that caught my eye*. Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s reviews &Β The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted byΒ Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
Hey! How was your week!? Most of my week was busy with work and weeping with envy for the BEA goers. I think this year was harder for me because I have become SO CLOSE to so many that were there and I’m just sad I couldn’t go!
HOWEVER, on Mother’s Day I met up with Erica for the Fierce Reads event which was fun! I honestly felt like the signing was rushed and it was impersonal, which could have been either the staff of the bookstore or other people involved. Either way, I had a great time with Erica and hanging out talking about nothing and everything!
I’m nervous about how much time I will have dedicated to the blog these next few months. There have been some changes at work with a few people resigning, so my workload is doubling! Just know that I’m around, even though it might take me a few days to return comments and the like! Which reminds me, did you like the Not So Bookish Monday!? SO FUN!
Blog wise – I started the new weekly Not So Bookish Monday with my April Ipsy Glam Bag! Hope you enjoyed something different and hope you’re looking forward to more! π
Until next week, hope you have a great weekend!

I’ve been meaning to read ALL BROKE DOWN for forever. I really adore the narrators! Silas is such an ass but I adore him. As for Flawed, I’ve had it for MONTHS but after meeting Cecelia and hearing more about the book from her, I am super excited to read it!
All The Pretties!
Books received from authors and publishers are for review consideration
I borrowed ALL BROKE DOWN from the Libary, the lovely Mary sent me an ARC of MY LADY JANE and I purchased THE SQUARE ROOT OF SUMMER at the Fierce Reads tour!

I was fine/not jealous about BEA until I saw Wendy’s drunk tweets and I was like I WANT TO SEE THAT IN PERSON. Haha! π
That’s fun that you got to meet Erica and go to the Fierce Reads event even though it wasn’t well-organized.
I’m looking forward to reading My Lady Jane. It sounds like a fun historical, which isn’t something you see a lot.
Good luck with work. I hope it doesn’t kick your butt too much!
Have a great weekend!

LOL Wendy drunk is fun, for sure. It wasn’t about books at all, but all the people. I miss my people!
It was well organized, just… rushed? IDK it was an odd feeling.
Thanks for sharing my discussion post! And I also was sad i could not go to BEA this year — I’m seriously thinking about making the effort next time. Flying is not on the cards, but I could drive to New York. I’m glad you got to attend the Fierce Reads event anyway, even if it wasn’t perfect.
Of course! π
I may try and do BEA next year. But we shall see! Have a great week!
Awesome haul. I honestly was glad that I didn’t go to BEA. I heard that at times there was fighting and arguing on some of the lines for certain books. I don’t like when I hear things like that. I like ALA more. I hope you love all of your new books.

REALLY? I didn’t hear that at all! I think there’s something that happens at each event, but I could be wrong. I wanted to do ALA this June but things changed. I will for sure do mid winter since it will be here in Atlanta!
Have a great week!
I’m planning to read Flawed next and I can’t wait. I’ve enjoyed Cecelia Ahern’s stories so much so I want to see how she does YA. Hope I’ll enjoy that as well π

It’s interesting so far! This is her debut YA from my understanding π I haven’t read her other adult books though, sadly!
I was bummed I couldn’t got to BEA because it’s BEA but also I love Chicago. I am hopefully going to go to it next year since NYC is easy for me to get to. So cool you got to meet up with Erica at that event!! Hope you enjoy your new pretties π Have a great week!

I didn’t realize it was going back to NYC! That’s exciting. Have a great week!
I, too, was bummed about missing BEA. I didn’t realize I’d miss it as much as I did. Though honestly, I think I missed the people more than the tradeshow floor madness and the books. I want to say I’ll go next year since it’s back in NYC, but I’m still not sure… especially with ApollyCon in Orlando just a couple months before. Ugh. Sorry to hear about people resigning from work. We’re down a designer right now so it’s been pretty crappy. My boss can’t get someone hired soon enough! Hope you have a great week ahead!

That’s more of what I was saying – the people. I honestly only knew of like 5 books that were going to be there so. It’s back in NYC next year!? I thought it would be in CHicago for at least a few years.
Great haul , Tonya. I am so excited to read My Lady Jane. I need to get my hands on a copy soon!

I’m really enjoying it!! I’m glad to hear it was your favorite in the series!
Thanks for sharing my post <333 BEA blues is sooo accurate – I wish we all could have been there together :((
Of course! Anytime you want me to share, I will! π
i had a little BEA-envy myself this week. I hope that next year I can go! It looks like so much fun, plus ALL those books!!!
I got Flawed from the library this week. I need to start it soon before i have to return it. Hope you have a great week and enjoy your new reads π

I hope to one dat attend BEA. For now I’ll just drool over everyone’s posts about it. LOL My blog will be quieter during the summer too. My mother comes down next week and we have a lot of things we’re going to be doing over the summer. It’ll be hit or miss on my posts.

Ah, remember real life is more important than blogging, so take it easy and rest because it sounds pretty crazy at work at the moment! It definitely sounds like you had lots of fun at the Fierce Reads event. Happy reading!
