Getting My Groove Back // Weekly Wrap Up

weekly wrap up

Weekly Wrap Up is a weekly post in which I recap the week, showcase new books received, and highlight what’s to come! Link posted to Stacking the Shelves (hosted by Tynga’s reviews) & The Sunday Post (hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.)

Happy Saturday!

Today, I will be at the Light the Night event here in Atlanta. I am our team’s captain this year! This is a great cause for LLS (Leukemia & Lymphoma Society). I’m still accepting donations, so if you are feeling generous, you can donate on my fundraising page. Pictures to come next week!

In other news, I am organizing a virtual race event at work and it’s been a struggle! I am confident things will all workout in the end but it’s SO frustrating. I’m still struggling with his nagging headache – I missed a few days of work this week which hasn’t happened in some time. I’m not sure why I can’t shake this one. Hopefully, soon it’ll go away.

Blog wise – I am getting my groove back! I had some awesome posts this week. This coming week will be a little slower. I am still working on my first fitness journey post, so look for that soon! I am 2 books done into ARCtober. I did change my books from my original, but that was a given. Only 4 left to my original goal.

My good friend Andi does this for her Christmas Cards (and you should totally check out her shop because they are ADORABLE and well priced), and thought I’d do the same! If you want a card from me this year, enter you info in the form below. I’ll never share your info!

It really is! LLS is the leading organization getting new patents for cancer treatment. It’s amazing.

I hope this Headache goes, too! Have a great week.

I hope the headache is gone now, Tonyalee! And that you’re feeling up to task for finishing the virtual race.
I also hope you had fun at Light the Night event 🙂
Your new books look great! I need to read some more Jeaniene Frost again – I love her, but haven’t read any of her books in ages.
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

Sadly it’s not gone but it’s better! We had a great time. I’ll post some pictures next week 🙂

      have a great week!

I saw the photos of the Light the Night. Sounds like it was a whole lot of fun! I am sorry about the headaches. Have you ever heard of Tiger Balm? My mom and sister get really bad headaches too and medication doesn’t always work. They apply this balm on their foreheads and it goes away like magic! I’ve tried it a few times with headaches and it’s fantastic. I think you can find it on Amazon. I read The Hunting Party! It was good!

I seem to have a constant headache this time of year. My is due to hellacious allergies though so nothing helps. Hope you have a great Light the Night event!

You’ve been busy, good for you!

I get persistent headaches too when 1. I’m not getting enough sleep, 2. PMS, or 3. I need new glasses. My friend also recommends seeing a chiropractor, something to do with spine alignment especially from sleep, than can cause chronic migraines. I hope you’re feeling better & figured out what’s going on so you can treat/avoid it in the future.

I hope your events both go well. And I hope the headache is GONE! I get migraines that last for days so I can relate. Mine are usually hormone related though. I won a copy of Shades of Wicked so I’m looking forward to seeing your thoughts. I’m excited about it. 🙂 Hope you’re having a great week so far!
