Random Rants and Ramblings #10~My Confession about Co-Bloggers

Random rants

Hey HEY!

Here I am, ranting and rambling again. (I’m really good at this, btw)

So. There has been something on my mind over the past.. couple months or so, and I have been debating whether or not I was actually going to confess discuss it. It can be taken wrong in so many ways, it’s scary. But, here we are…

We all have our own “things” we look for when it comes to which blogs to read and follow, yes? If they read the same books as you, have similar interest or whatever else you look for when it comes to it. But what about those blogs with more than one reviewer?

There are quite a few blogs that I LOVE (duh). Their reviews are awesome, their discussion post are fun and I am always super curious about what’s going on… but only when the post are done by certain reviewers. Yep. There are some posts that I will… not read or flat-out avoid, if a particular person posted it.

There. I said it.

It’s nothing personal, really. It isn’t ANY different then me not following a blog that doesn’t interest me, or I have nothing in common with. But then again, I feel BAD because I feel like I am playing favorites. Which I guess in a way, I am. But, it is what it is.

On the flip side, there have few been a few blogs that I have started to follow, because I LIKED the new co-blogger. That kind of goes hand in hand with my confession up there, because I wasn’t following that blog in particular then started to because someone new came and now I only look for their post. *sigh*

I’m not saying a blog that has more than one reviewer is something I shy away from; and I’m not saying having a co-blogger is a BAD idea. On the contrary, I think it could, and does, benefit a blog. I am just simply saying that sometimes, I don’t always click with all the reviewers so I don’t read their post.

That is all.

That leaves us to discuss.

On those blogs you follow that have more than one reviewer, do you read all the post, regardless of who wrote it?

Do you find yourself reading more of one vs the other(s)?

Share your thoughts!

It’s been interesting to see the views and comments on my co-bloggers posts. There are definitely some people who comment more on one or more reviewers than others but that’s okay. It’s a difference of styles; one blogger may work for you while the other(s) doesn’t. And when I’m reading a blog with more than one blogger, I do the same thing. I think as long as we’re polite about it, it’s not a problem.

I definitely have my favorites too when it comes to co-bloggers. One in particular I just mesh better with the reviews posted because of the book choice. They read and review books I also have and I just like that connection, where the other reviewer might not. Holy crap. Did that make any sense? Hopefully it did. I was actually driving home today thinking how nice it would be to have a co-blogger so I didn’t have to do so much work on my own, but I’m also OCD so I don’t think that it would work out well. LOL.

I was thinking about doing a discussion post about co-blogging and haven’t yet bc I am worried it won’t come out right. I mean don’t get me wrong, I like some blogs that have co-bloggers… but some I don’t… and if there’s more than 2 I start getting really confused and feel like I never get to really know any of them. I also don’t love it when a favorite blog of mine decides to become a co-blog. I don’t like change. I want to follow you and this other person isn’t you. Okay that sounds weird… I’m just very up in the air about co-blogging in general and know I would never do it. Great topic for a discussion though 🙂
