Rescued by a stranger.

Haunted by a secret

Sometimes, love isn’t easy…

He watched her, but never knew her. Until thanks to a chance encounter, he became her savior…

The attraction between them was undeniable. Yet the past he’d worked so hard to overcome, and the future she’d put so much faith in, threatened to tear them apart.

Only together could they fight the pain and guilt, face the truth—and find the unexpected power of love

I had a little hesitation going into this book. Not for reasons I’ve discovered OTHERS have, but for the simple fact this book had GREAT reviews. Usually I’m in the minority when books have such high ratings and raving reviews. So I had high expectations going in. And it not only met them- it exceeding them.

I know a lot of people had some trepidation due to the touchy subject matter in Easy but I wasn’t. Not that I actively look for books on the subject matter but then again, I don’t shy away from them either. It takes a lot of creativity and imagination to write Sci-Fi Fantasy, Paranormal Romance and the like (not saying you don’t for a contemporary!) But I think it takes guts, finesse and deep rooted talent to write about subjects as these. And Tammara Webber has all three.

Her writing is fantastic. I have said before I don’t like time summarized in a story but she does it so well, it didn’t bother me at all. The pacing was perfect. We not only witness Jacqueline’s struggle after that traumatic night but how it effects everyone. And it’s real. She didn’t sugar coat it. The reactions by fellow class mates and her friends were realistic.

I loved Jacqueline. She was such an awesome protagonist. She was funny, smart and though she was having issues dealing with her break up with Kennedy and that traumatic night, she was strong. Regardless of what she was going through, she continuously put everyone first before herself. I loved that. The romance between her and Lucas was steamy and sweet. I loved the dialogue between the two in the emails and text and how their romance slowly developed. My only (small) irritation was her impatience to know about Lucas’ past. His anger was justifiable and I’m glad she never held back what she did.

I would love to see more from these two but at the same time, I am satisfied where their story ended.

Overall- Fantastic!
