Hello!
Blog
- It’s been quite a productive week! Not that I’ve had a lot of time, but I’ve been writing a little here and there.
- I’ve loved going around blog hopping and commenting this past week. If I didn’t visit you, leave your blog below!
- I’ve been terrible about adding my physical hauls to my wrap ups. I do add these to Instagram though.
- I watched Ashes in the Snow, the adaptation of Between Shades of Gray. Look for that review soon. Spoiler: I loved it.
- Thank you all for the Blogoversary wishes! 6 years. That’s crazy to me.
Life
- We had a great time at the cabin last weekend. It was beautiful. The weather didn’t hold up well; Saturday it rained all day and Sunday it was in the low 20’s. Which is why I spent a lot of time in the hot tub.
- Work is the same. No change or updates on anything there. Talk about frustrating.
- We’ve started a rewatch of GoT. I stopped watching around season 3? or 4 maybe. But our goal is to get caught up before April.
Fitness
- I was able to make it to the gym twice this week. I used the rowing machine one day and it kind of kicked my butt! I’m looking for more HIIT/Cardio work outs just to get my blood pumping. Running isn’t my thing at the moment.
- Look for more recipes soon!

I want to watch Ashes in the Snow! But first, I should read the book. I’ve only read one book from the author, but I loved it. I’m glad you had a good time at the cabin even though the weather was not on your side.
I hope you enjoy Polaris Rising! I’m nervous that I’ve hyped it up too much for everyone!

Yay for a productive week. They are the best!! I am so darn excited for GoT. I might rewatch the last season to catch up. I haven’t worked in a while but started eating healthier. I like the cover of Tell Me Who We Were. Have a great week!

The cabin and hot tub sound fabulous even with the uncooperative weather:) Enjoy those lovely new reads and stay warm.

Your week sounds like it was fantastic, despite the rain. I think that I would love to be in a cabin during a rainstorm as long as I had some good books on hand. Polaris Rising sounds interesting. I hope that you enjoy it! 🙂

I’d love to do a GoT re-watch before the final season but I don’t think I’d be able to commit the time to it so I’ll probably just do a big rewatch once the final season has aired… But watch it week on week too because spoilers! Always spoilers… 🙁

I should do a Game of Thrones rewatch too. I think I missed some episodes around that time too when I didn’t have HBO… and ooh Polaris rising! Can’t wait to read that one, looks awesome.
Happy 6 years! Congrats!!

Anne - Books of My Heart
It’s nice to just get away some times. I’m glad your week was so productive.
I had all the medical things to deal with my Mom, my daughter, etc. It’s all about the physical therapy right now. I managed to get to the YMCA to swim and my back is better for it. We are going to try Chair yoga tomorrow.
Oh I have wanted to read those Deanna Raybourn books. I’m probably going to get them on audio. I think they have them at the library. I have read a shocking 29 books this year already and it’s Jan 28th. I’m bound to add a few in the next couple days as I will sit and wait at medical appointments and while my daughter is in classes at college. I’m off to quite a start.
Here’s to finding great books and having a productive week again.

Ooooh, good luck with catching up with GoT! There are so many seasons I’m intimidated to even start, but I feel like there are so many cultural references that relate to GoT that would be great for me to understand. Maybe I’ll start watching the show once my biggest exams are over? 😊 And I *love* HIIT workouts — running isn’t my thing either, partly because my feet suck, and partly because I recently haven’t been in the mood to run. I have found out that fast-walking is such a great way to exercise and even break a sweat, especially if you do it for more than twenty or thirty minutes. Maybe you could try it out sometime instead of running?
Wishing you a wonderful next week!
